CATTIVO COSTUME
Itinerant performative music company.
It’s a project that combines songwriting, music, poetry, theater and visual, It’s a journey into sound from noise to acoustic tribal.
Cattivo Costume was born in 1993 from an idea of Marco Milone, author, composer, songwriter and guitarist. Ten years of rock concerts and music poetry by psychedelia at the noise.
In 2004 there was the meeting and the merger with theater, the mime, the visual and figurative arts, thanks to the company "Umiliati e offesi compagnia stabile", with the project Circoblu.
In 2010 was released the album "Labirinto", with the support of the drummer, producer Giancarlo Ippolito (Mango, Skin of Skunk Anansie). It was followed by the concert performance "Labirinto acoustic concept" with the screenings of paintings and poems of the master Umberto Verdirosi.
Since 2011, Roberta Ida Izzo, vocalist and performer is an integral part of the project.
From 2012 onwards, the band performs concerts throughout Italy, proposing representations and concepts with different
formations of artists.
Since 2013, started the research about the lenguage, arts and traditions of the Vesuvius and Southern Italy.
Cattivo Costume started a collaboration with the puppeteer, sculptor and director Gaspare Nasuto, ambassador of the mask of Pulcinella in the world and the tradition of the Neapolitan "guarattelle" (puppets) of the fifteenth century.
Collaboration with the oldest Neapolitan living "puparo" (puppeteer), master Lucio Corelli, descendant of a family of art of over a century of activity in Neapolitan "Teatro di figura" (neapolitan pupi, marionette, theater) and the tradition of "Opera dei Pupi", of Neapolitan school.
Collaboration with the Sicilian songwriter, writer, author Ezio Noto, prize Ignazio Buttitta, artistic director of the Dedalo Festival.
Collaboration with Carmine Donnola, lucanian poet and "banditore".
Collaboration with Sicilian storytelling and polyhedral artist, Mel Vizzi "Il Cuntastorie Licatese".
On November 2017, the new album "'O cunto e 'a 'mbasciata" will be released, with artistic production of the songwriter, musician, producer Nicodemo of Salerno. The Album registered by sound engineer Giovanni Paglioli, at XXXV Studios.
